I love this little antenna. Judging by the performance, it was the comet's antenna. It works almost as well as the stock antenna on my UV-R50 and fits perfectly. I have. 16" Titanium whip and this little thing compares. I can hit my local repeater as well as one over 50 miles away. Of course this one is on a 400ft tower and is a true repeater beast. However, it proves, that the SWR has to be excellent to get my measly 5 watts this far. I didn't check the SWR as it passed my first test (hitting the repeater) so easily. It makes no sense. It works from Mackinac Island to Mackinac City 7 miles across the water like big antennas.
