Wheel locks for my 2012 Wrangler

Excellent wheel locks. I wish I could get them from McGard instead of Mopar. McGard locks would be half the price, but Mopar has a "lock" on this model. The packaging says they are not for steel wheels, which alarmed me at first. I called Mopar and they told me they were for aftermarket alloy wheels only (I checked the ad and it says so. It says OEM and aftermarket alloy wheels, which I mean for any OEM wheels, steel or alloy wheels and non original alloy wheels). Mopar said they were concerned the bolts were pressing against the wheel lock, resulting in a lack of torque at the wheel. I measured the inside of the Mopar wheel lock, the inside of the OEM nut and the length of the bolt. The wheel lock actually has more space inside than the stock nut. The protrusion is more than 1/8 inch shorter than the space inside the wheel lock. So I installed them, tightened them to the specs and off we went. A week later they were still tightened to spec and a week later as well. Apparently they are fine. I've been jeeping with them for a while. There were no problems with the replacement either. Update - November 15, 2013: Still driving, still turning. No problem. I've ridden these locks on steel discs down country roads and into the mountains of Montana. As long as they don't change the properties of the bolts and rim locks, I don't see a problem.
