Dark green glass protects olive oil from rancidity. This means I can fill the bottle more than I could with my old clear round dispenser. There are 2 funnels, two spouts, two inner lids and two outer lids. A small latch at the end of the spout closes the opening when the bottle is upright, but opens when oil or vinegar is poured. I have small hands but I take these bottles lightly; I also like that they are square. Fill points don't leak or drip like my old dispenser; I always cleaned the grease on the outside of the bottle. Pooh. These bottles are easy to handle and the simple design is also pleasing to the eye. The wooden tray is fine, but I wouldn't mind if the sides were twice as thick (for a wider base) and maybe an inch taller, but I'm pretty happy with these dispensers.
