I got this laptop today, it's a Max 17 (3070+i7) and so far it doesn't look very good. I keep getting BSOF (8 times so far) and my laptop has rebooted about 15 times (see video for pre-reboot analysis). I have Modern Warfare installed and if I'm lucky I'll finish an entire game and see you next time. One starts just before the bootscreen appears the colors just get ripped and the laptop reboots. This is sooo annoying. I downloaded all the drivers from the website and reinstalled everything, then I downloaded Geforce Experience and updated the graphics driver, same thing continues. So I figured that maybe the game didn't install properly (although I can only play a full game) so I clicked the freeze option in the Blizzard app and after that was done I reinstalled the shaders and reset all graphics settings i had. previously selected (I set everything to minimum for maximum fps) and still no luck. The assembly is excellent, I thought that I would not like the keyboard (because of rgp) but everything is fine. To be honest, the keyboard works very well (big keycaps, so great for playing video games) but it's not that pretty to look at if you know what I mean. The screen is amazing, 1440p at 165Hz is a sweet spot and looks great although I'm sure the response time is either a bit slow or I'm too used to 300Hz screens. I/O is great and has everything I need and I love the power button they put on top. To be clear I haven't done anything in the software but yeah this BSOF and reboot is not ok, I'll keep investigating for a few days because I really hope it's the game's fault and not the Laptops like when I try love it but can't yet. I can return it if I can't find a solution, but yes, that's my experience. Update: For the BSOD, all I needed was to change LP4 somewhere close to LP1 (10W higher) and that fixes the problem, although LP4 is maxed out by default. Anyway, after using it for a month and learning the basics of CPU and GPU tuning, it was a great experience. I downloaded Throttle Stop and MSI Afterburner and after some tweaking I played Warzone 2k at 145 (medium) medium high settings. The temperatures were at 74 ° CPU and 80 ° CPU. Now I just returned the laptop yesterday and the reason is I want a big boy Prometheus XVII (5800hx-3080) although I have to wait and it will cost a few hundred bucks more but that's for the long run. Overall: Build Quality: Solid. Performance: excellent. Keyboard: Very basic, but an external keyboard should work. TBCh
