Terrible Smell - Wires and Connections

This just came in the mail and gave off a horrible smell! I took a deep breath to make sure it was the source and felt a little dizzy. And I work with industrial chemicals for a living, which doesn't even make me dizzy! I'm not even sure of its function because I won't be keeping it because of the smell. Definitely not recommended!

Pros
