It may need to be filed or sanded to fit properly.
Had to install something on my Lexus RX350. Once everything was in place, all that was left was to secure it with the included collar ring. The tabs didn't go in and ended up having to file the back of the filler neck to allow it to slide farther down the radiator and give the clearance needed to lock the shoulder lugs in place. All in all it looks like a solid piece of plastic which I hope doesn't go as bad as the original product's nipple.
