I ended up selling my CD player to my teacher at home because we don't use headphones at home so it's ok for us

This CD player doesn't support headphones. I didn't know it was possible. Why can't I use headphones in my CD player? I bought it for a first grade reading room, but it won't work for that. I ended up selling my home CD player to the teacher because we don't use headphones at home - so that's fine with us, but I wish the caveats were clearer before I bought it.
