I installed the extensions and got the gate in place to mark the anchor points in 10 minutes. Marked and installed the supplied wall anchors and installed the anchors, the gate was reinstalled and adjusted in just 35 minutes. Finding bolts with a bolt finder and installing screws and anchors took longer than anything else. If I had to do it all over again it would take about 1/2 that time. NOTE: Gates are irregularly shaped before they are installed and adjusted for a specific purpose. Read the instructions. Also had no kinking problems with extensions as others have stated. The key is to adjust them so that there is a lot of pressure on the walls. This keeps the assembly. Square. That's why you use wall anchors...to keep the pressure on a larger area of the wall so the regulators don't bang through the drywall. It is best attached to a section of wall with a stud behind it. I also only had to use a wrench to turn to adjust the tension. This should be easy for anyone who can twist a screwdriver and turn a wrench.
