Keeps my big dog out of the rooms

I have NOT used any wall pieces that need to be screwed into the wall. I rent and that is for my dog. The pieces at the ends of the fence hold it in place well enough for our needs. i like the style Although I would have ordered white. When the gate is fully open, it stays in the open position for you. Remember that the edges of the fence must be pressed very firmly against the wall in order for the gate to be properly installed and locked when closed. If it doesn't click into place, you…

Works very well very imaginative child is difficult to understand

Very easy to install. My 2 year old understands EVERYTHING. We had to drop the standard baby gate because he either 1) climbed over it, 2) knocked it out of the walls, or 3) broke the arm straining the wall. He is a master of escape and constantly tries to leave the house. No door locks are good so my next try was something that would prevent him from getting to the doors. We've had it for a week or two and he still hasn't figured out how to unlock it. He also didn't try to climb over it…

Difficult installation, sticky mechanisms, heavy door

Good thing it feels solid. But the bad news is that it's difficult to install at best. We painstakingly tightened and loosened screws for over an hour to find the right combination for our wall. At first it was too loose and the door wouldn't lock. We tightened it until the door closed and opened securely, but it didn't seem tight; a slight tug pulled everything forward. We tightened it a bit - now it seems strong but the door will hold. My husband and I followed the instructions carefully and…

Solid, strong, stands up to my rough and tough kid.

I am very satisfied with this children's goal. We couldn't stop the boy from ramming his walker through the double doors to our office. This solved that problem. It's very strong and doesn't wobble or move when our little one stands and pulls on the bars. The door can stay open and not slam behind you, which could result in the child getting hit if they get in the way. I also like its height because I don't have to bend down to open/close it. One thing I didn't take into account was that the…

BEST GOALS! - Gates and gate extensions

We tried EVERYTHING to keep our rowdy German Shepherd in the back of the house when we were out. These gates are easy to install. You can screw it to the wall or just use the clamp mounts. We decided to try the plug-in mounts first to avoid drilling holes in the wall. And it works! He either knocked down the other gates or climbed over them. We got home and he sat on the couch as you wish. But these gates are so STRONG and very high. He can't push it at all and because of the vertical railing…

Strong and easy to install 52 inch gate

I installed the extensions and got the gate in place to mark the anchor points in 10 minutes. Marked and installed the supplied wall anchors and installed the anchors, the gate was reinstalled and adjusted in just 35 minutes. Finding bolts with a bolt finder and installing screws and anchors took longer than anything else. If I had to do it all over again it would take about 1/2 that time. NOTE: Gates are irregularly shaped before they are installed and adjusted for a specific purpose. Read the

I really wanted to love this product but stay away!

Got this gate for one door, 48in Bronze, seems solid and I like the finish so I decided to order the same but slightly wider for another area that shouldn't have children. Unfortunately Revain doesn't sell a 53" bronze version so I now have 2 completely different goals - in color - gray and bronze, and also in height. So 53" is total bullshit - doesn't seem safe (bends itself when you put pressure) and it bends because there are too many detachable parts, no matter how hard I would tighten the…

Our problem solved. A few minor issues

Initial review September 28, 2021 We had good gates to keep our grandkids out of our home. Our smart and persistent 2 year old grandson was soon able to undo the bolt on this gate. Then he also found the locking tab, so it was time to replace the gate. This gate does two things. First, the gate must be pulled vertically to open it. That alone would have stopped our grandson from opening. Second, these gates are high, which makes climbing even more difficult. We learned about this gate from the…
