Got this gate for one door, 48in Bronze, seems solid and I like the finish so I decided to order the same but slightly wider for another area that shouldn't have children. Unfortunately Revain doesn't sell a 53" bronze version so I now have 2 completely different goals - in color - gray and bronze, and also in height. So 53" is total bullshit - doesn't seem safe (bends itself when you put pressure) and it bends because there are too many detachable parts, no matter how hard I would tighten the screws. If you tighten it too much, the hinge between the moving part and the fixed part will get stuck and it will very difficult to open the gate and 3. The problem is the screws you put in the side of the wall. The flat part is RUBBER, so it's soft and not as reliable as plastic, like the 48 inch version. Called the service and asked for the same screws, but with plastic circles on them - said and no. I suspect the gate isn't as secure as the 48" because of that piece of rubber. Keep that in mind when shopping at the gate as my TWIN DAUGHTERS are now 8 months old but only god knows how strong they will be at 1.5 years, so watch for future progress (safe now, not later) For your health
