Good thing it feels solid. But the bad news is that it's difficult to install at best. We painstakingly tightened and loosened screws for over an hour to find the right combination for our wall. At first it was too loose and the door wouldn't lock. We tightened it until the door closed and opened securely, but it didn't seem tight; a slight tug pulled everything forward. We tightened it a bit - now it seems strong but the door will hold. My husband and I followed the instructions carefully and took all the necessary measurements, but this isn't the smooth move we were hoping for. The latch is difficult to open with one hand, and the door swings back so violently that we have to carefully latch it behind us each time to avoid waking the child or getting a painful pinched ankle. I am disappointed and frustrated. After a day of use we got tired of walking on it. It's better than nothing, but I wouldn't buy it again.
