Review on Phomemo M110 Bluetooth Label Maker - Portable Barcode Printer by William Pacino

The app could be better

I use it to print small "stamps" to thank a customer for a purchase on orders I ship from my online store. While I expected the print quality to be a bit better, the small text is still legible so it does what I need it to. The printer itself is solid and very easy to use, connecting was as easy as allowing the app access to bluetooth and the printer was there. The only issues I have are with the app, you have to do everything through it and it can be buggy/annoying to create custom labels. I ended up creating mine in Photoshop and importing it as an image, which I then put on a label in the app. What's really annoying is that no matter what position I put the photo in, I save the custom label, reopen it and the photo (my own text) gets misaligned, shrinks, or just isn't centered anymore. Every time I print a new label I have to center it, but I only use this to make a bunch of the same stickers, so instead of re-centering every time I only print a bunch of them. However, I see that this is very annoying for some people, and in general it would be nice if the application actually saved labels exactly as they were created. This problem only seemed to be related to adding "photos" to the labels. So if you use their text boxes, barcodes etc it works much better even though they have very limited fonts. Overall I'm still happy with it, but constantly repositioning the image to print in the middle of the label gets boring very quickly.

  • Confident
Cons
