Purchased to power the graphics card in the Dell PowerEdge T410 server with 6-pin power supply. The server had no power connectors except for a free SATA power connector and that met my needs. I'm using an 8600 GTS graphics card that draws a maximum of 61W. 12V. The SATA cable spec says 54W max so I'm above the spec but haven't seen any issues so far. If you're using a graphics card with higher performance requirements, you'll probably need a dual SATA to 6-pin header, otherwise it will work fine.
