I didn't know you could make shoes without a real tongue! I thought laced sneakers had a tongue! In my opinion this is bad design. When I first got them, there was no way I could get my feet into shoes without a shoehorn. Without the tongue, I have a much smaller opening to get my feet through. It also means the laces cannot be tightened when my feet are inside. I really like that they are super light to walk on, but it's such a hassle using a shoehorn every time I want to put them on!
