Review on Dorman 600-603 Shift Linkage for 4 Wheel Drive by Antonio Liu

I purchased this to replace a frozen switch on my 1997 F-150 4X4 pickup. The holes in the mounting plate were in a slightly different position than the original, but I was able to change the mounting plates (after cleaning and repainting the old mounting plate) and the new linkage looks identical to the original. ; unless the new one works fine. I was trying to rebuild an old block and managed to ruin 20 year old plastic shifter shaft seals. Do yourself a favor and buy this unit and replace the mounting plates if necessary. This saves a lot of time and the end result is a brand new switch that will last for many years.
