Great mini heater, but let's see if it works. Looks great, doesn't take up much space and blocks the light for my plants. I added a heater to my high tech 1.5 gallon shrimp tank that maintains a decent 70 degree temperature even in the winter here in Northern California where it gets cold. I originally had a 10 watt Aqueon mini heater but it cooked my fish. Compared to the 10 watt aqueon heater (thin heater) and the 7.5 watt aqueon (large heater pictured) this keeps my aquarium at a comfortably cool 68-72 temperature. Grade what I'm aiming for and it's smooth. It's a bit wider than a 10 watt mini heater, but I don't mind that. My biggest disappointment was that this product kept it flush with the wall. It only has 1 suction cup and depending on how straight or tangled the cord is will affect how it sits in your tank. It would be great if it had an extra suction cup on the bottom to keep it level. I know there have been many reviews of mini heaters that fry fish or not work, but I will definitely post the next review to check. is the lifetime. Pros: - maintains a constant water temperature - smooth - doesn't take up too much space Cons: - temperature is not adjustable - will not drain into the aquarium unless you tamper with the cord
