Definitely natural - beware!

I really like these sponges. They are made from natural materials that are more sustainable and work just as well, if not better, than traditional kitchen sponges. One thing about natural fiber products, sometimes they surprise you. I was surprised when I got stung by the first sponge I pulled out, so yes they are definitely natural fibers (!) but be careful because sometimes they show up in unexpected ways. I think there was a hard and pointed coconut fiber sticking out between the sponge and part of the dishwashing sponge (see photos). It wasn't very nice to get hit by, and I couldn't just pull it out. I ended up removing most of the sponge from the sponge to get it out and as you can see it was quite a long little stick! Being a curious person, I checked the rest of the sponges in the box to make sure it was just one of them, and it was - no other sponge had coconut slivers stuck between the sponge and the dishwashing sponge. *phew* Anyway, otherwise they're great. They have good cleaning ability without scratching and the sponge absorbs very well. I hope no one else has a sponge like me in my batch but I wanted people to know that while this is probably something that rarely happens, with natural products of this nature it's also probably normal to some extent and what You should be aware. .
