This chair was not strong in my soul. I had trouble putting it together. The parts were very difficult to fit and put together. You need a lot of muscle power to connect the metal. It would be difficult for an elderly person! My chest and arms hurt and I'm not old. It didn't sit flat in our tiled shower. I tried adjusting the legs and putting a bath mat to one side to strengthen them, but at the end of the day, my 91-year-old father-in-law's fall from rocking in his chair wasn't worth it. I returned it. Just bought another swivel chair and will update my reviews once we get it and try it. You can go to my reviews and check it out and maybe it's the best option.
