Big But Too Thin

This pack of 18 stencils is a classic example of "you get what you pay for". Two of my leaves were not cut through. I had to remove the plastic. For one, it was easy since the uniform was medium-sized. The other was more complex and quite small so it didn't come out smoothly. All leaves are very thin. For some designs, this can be circumvented by holding it firmly and flush with the paper. As with others, there are too many slits in the design and it's not possible because the various thin slits will move no matter what, defeating the purpose of the stencil. I made a little collage with these sheets thinking of my mother (pictured). If you look closely you will see where the picture is not as good as it should be. To create a collage I used a mechanical micro pen 0.5. It doesn't get any better. I'll try markers next. Who knows? Maybe using markers will give better results. The sheet size is great for journaling. I ordered large cut outs with circles for mixed watercolors. Sheets look exactly as stated. I received the 18 sheets pictured. The variety of stencils creates many possibilities, especially if, like me, you already have additional stencils. It's just that my old stencils are easily 2x thicker, if not 4x thicker.

Pros
  • Safe to Use: The edge of the plastic stencil is round and not sharp, so you won't scratch your hands and it's safe for children.
Cons
  • Expensive
