There have been many positive reviews, so I'll be brief. I bought this camera to hang on my back door, which is the spot in my house that I find most prone to burglary. Although we have an alarm system I wanted a different level of containment so I was pleased to find this at such a reasonable price. To be honest it's a steal at this price. The camera looks absolutely real and exceeded all my expectations. I plan on getting a few more, as well as some real ones. As mentioned, I didn't put batteries in the flashing light to make it look more authentic. While I understand what the manufacturer was aiming for and appreciate they have this feature, I find it unnecessary and not that authentic. I agree that this will help draw attention to itself in the dark of night, increasing its effectiveness. Mine is low enough and prominent enough to be noticeable. They also supply a window sticker that I will put on the door that is just below the camera.
