This product looks beautiful from the outside, but has flaws. There are no instructions, but it's pretty easy to figure out. The treetop consists of two parts: a base star with built-in lights and a staff with clips attached. The rod has a thread that attaches to the base of the star. Unfortunately, the threads or chain in my package did not fit. I think the threads were too big. I'm always careful not to cross a thread, and I certainly didn't in this case. After many tries I managed to put a few threads in and it worked. Unfortunately, the light is not as clear as advertised. LED lights have a plastic cover over them that rotates. The motor is a little noisy, but not enough to drive you crazy. Unfortunately, the plastic cover isn't as sharp as we'd like and blurs the image on the wall. My very young children love it but wish it was built a little better. I don't know how long it will be but I'm happy. At half the price it would be worth a 4 or 5. I would give it a solid 3. A little pricey for the quality but worth it.
