The metal rod that is the core stops at the beginning of the spoon and spatula sides. This product is almost useless. It would be fine for stirring resin, powders, yogurt/pudding viscosities. The spoon *maybe* can handle peanut butter.but I do not have hope for that. There is no way you can scrape ANYTHING with the spatula end, besides maybe liquid foundation. The ends are floppy and have NO support from the metal core whatso ever. You can even see the end of the metal rod and it looks like it would be easy to pull the ends far enough to break through the thin layer of silicone to the metal. I DO NOT recommend.I did not test the heat resistance functionality.
