Good quality but better service

I just bought this item as an alternative to the standard ceramic jug. I have always used ceramic in the past and there is nothing wrong with ceramic. Over time they have proven to be very strong, durable and easy to clean. However, I only wanted to try the stainless steel model for its lighter weight and durability as we tend to move things around a lot. And I'm just a big fan of stainless steel. On arrival it was in very good condition. soul building. I'd say 16-18 gauge steel and very light compared to previous ceramics I've used. Here are some of the differences I've considered. - The edges are a bit sharp. the lower edge where the plate and the side walls are connected forms a pointed edge below. I would recommend setting this to something to avoid scratching the countertop. The top edge is also sharp, but features a chunky plastic ring that allows your water bottle to sit comfortably without scratching it. The hose is made of plastic and easy to install. I recommend tightening it firmly by hand to avoid leaks. Another issue compared to ceramic is that it is made from two pieces of steel rather than one solid piece. #10 can inside. Ceramic cookware is smooth inside and easy to clean. This groove can be a problem area for some. Yes, pure filtered water is included, but due to the air gap between the top of the jug and the neck of the bottle, algae growth can and will occur. take care. You should clean the inside of each jug frequently, usually between bottles. An extra toothbrush and the occasional drop of vinegar or bleach should keep it clean. The weight. The advantage of this pan is that it is very light. However, this can be an issue when refilling with a new bottle. The weight of a potsherd usually keeps it in place. This must be securely fastened so that it does not slip. - Aesthetics. Stainless steel, as beautiful as it is, usually leaves fingerprints and water marks easily. Therefore, you may need to clean it more frequently than regular ceramic tableware. Ultimately it's a great product but unless you're just looking for a stainless steel to match your kitchen or a lighter weight it's basically the same product at the same price. It might be a slightly more expensive service, but it's worth it if you decide to go this route.
