USB Flash Drive Tech Experts Review

I bought the 128GB version because of the uncritical form factor. Fully updated out of the box on a Windows 10 machine: Capacity: 124,272,574,464 bytes (115GB) Format: FAT32 Shown in Device Manager as: USB DISK 3.0 USB device Good enough for what I use it for, media files move in my house . It appears to have a 1GB buffer, allowing for 120MB/s transfers. Speed, but after that first 1GB of data, it drops to 10MB/s and slowly drops to 6MB/s. OR get the same 120MB/s transfer rate for the first 1GB of data. It then drops to 10MB/s, then drops to 4MB/s for about 2 seconds, then ramps up to 60-80MB/s for the next second before falling back to single digit speeds. This creates a sawtooth pattern on the transmission graph. This buffer fills up and is reset again and again. I don't think it's a bad thing, and it makes this drive faster than a typical USB 2.0 drive that we're all used to, but the performance isn't like a branded drive, that's for sure. The purpose is to cool my keychain. It has knocked many times and so far there have been no problems or loss of data capacity. Overall I am happy with the purchase as it was on sale when I received it. People who complain that the storage space isn't the full amount they paid for, first check the actual capacity in bytes, I only have 4GB, and for a 128GB flash memory chip it's not terrible. I think people have forgotten the days when all flash storage was a dice roll, as well as how much capacity you actually have, be it Sony or Samsung or a Chinese company. My best advice is if something this small upsets you, you better do some comparison shopping and be sure to read these reviews! Try to find works by people working in a related field.
