Bought to replace my old unit which was basically the same except for the color (I think). The old one lasted almost 30 years and still worked, but was heavily contaminated with mineral deposits and it was not possible to easily change the choice of head for different jet types, so it seemed right to simply replace it. I thought this new unit would be a similar quality product with a quick, no-fuss installation, but that wasn't the case. First, the inner white part of the "filter" (aka flow restrictor) that was under the inner washer was broken inside the device (out of the box). Not a big deal as I probably wanted to remove it anyway so as not to lower the water pressure (the filter itself is a good idea to reduce clogs/mineral build up but my water is so hard they pass anyway/leeches). , in my opinion). However, I found this new block flows like crazy where it attaches to the wall pipe no matter how I tightened it (and according to the directions and what I did with the old block, I didn't use tape for the pipe carving ). . After some head scratching and trial and error, I found that I could fix the leakage problem by leaving the old block's washer in the wall pipe and combining it with the new block's washer that I left in the sprinkler handle when I bolted it on. in. If you have leaks, you can try adding another shim to the equation. At least that worked for me.
