Review on πŸ”¦ Glowmotes: The Ultimate Portable Universal Glow in The Dark Remote Holder by Sarah Phillips

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Maybe better than nothing.

It's like the old Catskill joke: Q: How's the restaurant? Answer: The food was terrible. And such small portions! This thing is pictured with five remote controls. I sent the first one back because it only had four brackets and lacked the "official thumb button that lets you hang the remotes anywhere". The replacement had the same four holders, but once I hung 3 remotes this thing became too clunky to add a 4th let alone a 5th. It's on the standard strap you get for ID cards, passports, etc. The "official button" is literally a button that cannot support the weight of a single regular remote control. If you have a hanging space within reach, you will need to attach a hook or something similar. I think you could hang it around your neck. It would be really fun. My main remote is the TiVo Peanut, which has a lot of tiny, closely spaced buttons and a slide-out keyboard so it doesn't work. My TV remote control, which I often only use for the sleep button, works perfectly. My Apple TV remote is not needed as there is an app for it. I have a few other very small remotes for devices that also have apps. When I think about it, TiVo has an app. So really all I need is my iPhone. That's stupid. But the only thing better is the app. Also, the price is insanely high. This is very similar to the free stuff you get at a convention.

Pros
  • REMOTE CONTROL HOLDERS MUST ABSORB DAYLIGHT LIGHT TO GLOW. If the holders are left in a dark environment, the glow will disappear. suggest hanging it through the screen window or door. where it can absorb light.
