Bought to replace a smaller cooler that has basically stopped cooling altogether. Place a dozen soda cans inside. It took 2 full days to chill the contents, so it's a bit slow. The design isn't bad, although the oval window isn't very visible. There are no real controls other than a power button which also allows you to cool or heat meaning it is a Peltier effect based device. While the demo photos show that you can stand the jars vertically, you should actually stand them horizontally as the jars don't feel very stable when upright. And here I am wondering if the designers actually used this product. It really needs some more vertical space and a horizontal post (or 2) so you can just pull things from the top instead of the bottom without interfering with other shelves. But that's more of a gibberish. After leaving the device for 48 hours, the soda inside was FINALLY cool enough to be considered "cold". The black design isn't that out of place on a bookshelf. Although it is relatively high, due to the construction of the hinge, there is no way to place it anywhere else. EDIT: The soda can needs to be placed vertically to fit 12 cans. When placed horizontally, only 9 cans fit in. What could work better since there are fewer things to keep cool. EDIT 2: Turns out that with a little creative stacking, you can fit 11 cans, not 9, when the cans are stacked horizontally. You should do 3-3-2-3 or 3-3-3-2 from bottom to top. In general, "not bad", but you need to give it time to start working.
