Memory leak: memory cards

It started well, I shot my mini sessions on it. AMAZING to cover 5 families with just this one card. I like to challenge little girls to spin, so I liked the speed of the map. Session 2: Wedding, even an hour (!) it was full. When I got home I barely shot 8GB. Strange. Session 3: Brought it to the seniors session shoot. Fired a test shot and he said MAP FULL. Maybe I had a defect, maybe I'm doing something wrong? Please tell me. But I'm sending it back. So disappointed.
