I use this in a 500 square foot barn. Feet next to a pond where the humidity consistently hits the 80s. This has reduced the humidity to 40% in 24 hours and keeps it there. Great machine, a bit pricey but I would buy it again.

I have two houses, both with basements, one has 76% humidity and the other is flooded. In both cases, I was able to lower the humidity to 45%, maintain it at that level, and dry out the flooded basement in just a few days. The device is well made, the only small problem I had was entering the sub-menu, I had to turn off the power when it was on for several days to get into the sub-menu. I have over 100 hours with the sub menu which is the only problem.

Worth the money. Another dehumidifier I had cost about $250 and pumped about a gallon of water a day out of the air in my basement. I thought it works fine. We noticed mold in some damp spots in the basement and decided we had to go all out. We bought this unit and in the first 36 hours 9 gallons of water came out of the air! This machine is a beast! I've been using it for about 2 weeks and the results have been really impressive. Over the last 10 years I have tried several units with mediocre results using two 70 liter dehumidifiers 24/7. The best lifespan I could get from these devices was about 2 years.
