The scooter was fairly easy to assemble but it was annoying that no instructions came with the product. I had to google and download instructions for the item because there is no product on the company's website. They were annoying when you pick up your Christmas present while the kids are sleeping. Instructions came in the mail 2 days later. very annoying! Otherwise the scooter works great and my daughter loves it. Pay special attention to the small screws under the sections where the scooter can be folded. Our scooter folded on its own until we 'found' a section in the downloaded instructions that said small screws need to be tightened or loosened to keep the scooter from collapsing when you step on it.
