What was I thinking when I ordered them? It will be a long time before I'm 85 or captain of Captain and Tennille. They are very, at least in my opinion, ugly. I don't think I would have ordered these shoes with white contrast stitching, which is what displeases me the most. Maybe I chose the wrong pair. However, this is purely a matter of personal taste and I am assuming from what you are reading here that they are more your taste or you are in fact the captain. So, I'm going to talk fit and quality. From the design, I notice that this is a well-made quality shoe. I'm not familiar with the Stacy Adams brand but I can tell you they know what they are doing and despite the great price I find this shoe to be quite upscale. A lot of attention to detail was given here. The frame at the transition from the sole to the body is carefully sewn and designed for a long service life. The upper is a very comfortable suede, perfectly and evenly colored dark blue. The insole is made of leather, lined with memory foam and is extremely comfortable. Due to the shoe fashion, the tip is a bit longer, so there is enough space to hide some doubloons, yacht keys or the like. In fact, you'll have to spend a few minutes relearning how to walk without scratching those long toes on the deck. But it's not about fit, it's about style. The outsole is some kind of grippy synthetic material, perfect for shuffleboarding and possibly the most attractive shoe sole I've seen. Style, it's someone's style, and they look like perfectly tailored shoes to me.
