I work from home when I can and work behind a laptop screen so I decided to add 2 monitors to buy. The problem is that my laptop only has 1 HDMI. It was the perfect solution. Pros: When you finally get it working, it's awesome! Cons: Instructions could be more detailed. I'm usually pretty good with computers, but I was almost frustrated with this one. The Intel Display software on my Dell laptop only recognizes 1 display. It wasn't until I used other display options that I was actually able to get it to work. Then it was child's play. Full detailed instructions would earn this device 6 stars. :) UPDATE: I said above it was the Intel software on my computer, but now that I think about it, it was the monitor software. If you have two different display options, try both before you give up. UPDATE 6/21/19: I just hooked this up to my work computer. Definitely easier the second time. I have followed the instructions. 1. Download the drivers from the StarTech website. 2. Let him restart my computer. 3. Connect the USB to the already connected displays (the main screen will be mirrored to all of them at this point). 4. Switched to the display options and expanded the display. Good to go! I've decided I like this device! Rating changed to 5 stars. By the way, I didn't use the Intel display option to extend the display.
