This is an easy to use product. You plug it into a 30 amp outlet and look at the LED indicators to make sure the outlet is plugged in properly. Then connect the RV cable to this device. In addition to checking the socket, it offers surge protection. The only downside is that many sockets make it impossible to close the cover. It is well made and makes a robust impression. If you are traveling in a 30 amp van you will need this.
