Learning is cheaper but not as easy.
I ended up using a drill press on this bookshelf. Screwdriver? No thank you. Not only that, but either way, with or without a screwdriver or drill, the wood will break on the other side. Doesn't show up so I guess it doesn't matter, but it's a little annoying. I may have gotten it wrong, but if you can't get anywhere with a regular screwdriver, that's a lot of work. Happy to have my trusty DeWalt :) In the end it looks great and I'm very happy with my purchase!
