We use the Xbox One as a gaming machine, but even more as a multimedia tool. We use it most often to watch Netflix or SlingTV. This remote worked right out of the box - no syncing or setup required. There's a slight learning curve, but the buttons are easy to pick up on with minimal use. The remote is a little light and cheap, but still feels solid enough to withstand falls from low heights, like waist height. I'm about 6 feet from my Xbox One with few if any obstacles and sometimes it takes a few clicks to get it working. For the price and functionality, I'm still a satisfied buyer.
