My husband loves these socks. He is 12.5 feet tall. The ankle sits correctly on his leg, but the line between the calf tube and the ankle is just below the edge of his shoe. The calf tube is well ventilated with the rope used. I was worried the elasticity wouldn't hold, but it holds and is comfortable. He loves their softness and how they keep feet dry. The toe seams are initially stiff but will soften after washing. The finish on the corners is also smooth, which is a plus. Although the fit is a bit short for his legs, he offers plenty of room for his wide toes. So we will buy more.
