This is my first top fill humidifier, I also have a bottom fill humidifier. ADVANTAGES Large tank capacity, lasts for 2-3 days. Very easy to fill the tank, easily removable cap. Very easy to clean. The fog rises. It's very quiet on medium to high settings. The light on the dial is soft, imperceptible. Manual on where to put (my 1st top fill). Luckily the customer posted a photo of her going into the water tank. The low settings on both Deerma 5L humidifiers I received were an annoying whistle, I couldn't sleep so the low settings were unusable. The first one I got, a couple of weeks later, the med setting started to have a low annoying hum and I couldn't use that setting either. A second humidifier humidified my hardwood floors up to 3 feet for a week and my humidifier sits on a 30 inch high table. Decided to replace my first humidifier as I couldn't find any other reviews that had a whistle on low settings. But when the second humidifier had the same whistle out of the box, I gave it a few more weeks. Today I returned it and you accepted, no questions asked, thank you for that. However, when I ordered my first humidifier in February for $60, my return in April for my second humidifier is $50, which is the price it is now has on offer.
