The Arlo mount has a stronger magnetic grip than the Dropcessories mount.

I bought a Dropcessories mount and a similar mount from Arlo. ("Arlo Desk/Ceiling Mount by Netgear") The magnetic grip on Arlo's proprietary mount is much stronger. Dropcessories' proprietary mount is too loose, and wind or vibration can cause the camera to slowly drift until it's pointing to the ground.
