I love the Glacier White finish. It has a more premium matte finish so there aren't as many fingerprints and the like on the case. I bought this vita from Ninjya if you need a recommendation! The box was in excellent condition, the item was sealed and brand new! I recently had the 2nd Gen Aqua Blue Vita Slim (exclusive to Gamestop) and I have to say the experience remains the same. An almost smooth transition from the American PlayStation Vitas to the Japanese. I was a little wary of buying this in Japan, but it's really regionless. As far as I know, the only what you are really "bound" to is the playstation store in the region of your playstation account. I don't think this will affect the 99% of users who are not interested in using Playstation Stores in Japan or other regions. All my American PS Vita games, memory cards and games I downloaded from the PS Store work great. When you start Vita, you can immediately select English. The O and X commands are understandably swapped (in Japan, the O key is mainly used to select and the X to exit the menu, the exact opposite of how it's done in the US). If that bothers you, you can easily change it in Settings > Accessibility > Keybindings. However, when you actually play games, it seems that the controls depend on the game's default settings for controls. In other cases, I noticed that some games depend on system settings. Personally I left the settings alone and they are fine. All in all, I'm glad I bought the Japanese Vita. Currently, there are several color options for Vita Slim in Japan: neon orange, glacier white, aqua blue, metallic red, silver and others. Unfortunately, when you buy an American PS Vita Slim online you are almost certainly limited to one color, black, as there was only a small limited run of the Aqua Blue Vita Slim at Gamestop that ended a while ago.
