They're good at what they do, but they say 'oh that's pretty' rather than 'oh that's useful'. As expected they take up one USB port and can be useful if you have a bunch of backlit ports, but otherwise they don't do much and even that isn't great. They are more of a gimmick and not very useful. I'm not saying you shouldn't buy them, it's just that I really don't recommend them unless you have the specific need mentioned above.
