This little light works perfectly because it's not super bright, but it's not super dark either, it sits in the center and isn't too flashy. They're good at what they do, but they say 'oh that's pretty' rather than 'oh that's useful'. As expected they take up one USB port and can be useful if you have a bunch of backlit ports, but otherwise they don't do much and even that isn't great. They are more of a gimmick and not very useful. I'm not saying you shouldn't buy them, it's just that I really don't recommend them unless you have the specific need mentioned above.

Bought red and they are not very bright. The light is connected to a dual charger just below my radio. Was hoping to light up the center console (a little). It's not like this. Update: The seller offered to send me more colors (white 2 pieces and blue 2 pieces). Tried both, they are much brighter and more useful.
