Plug-in replacement, non-trivial installation

At first I wasn't impressed with the build quality. The two elements I bought are severely bent, so the elements are not perpendicular to the base and are not aligned outside and behind. Fitting the elements into the water tank was quite a challenge due to the poor bending, but still it only took about a minute to complete each one. "Too big to fit well, but I managed to tighten the elements with my shaft using sheer willpower. The naysayer in me says Camco does this, so buy their special "Elements Key". To be clear the elements I have removed and replaced from two other heaters with this socket fit the socket perfectly, these Camco elements are the first not to have a matching 1Β½ inch nut. It is clear that the elements are not so easy to get. started as they are screwed in, they are not balanced, so it takes a lot of finger strength to keep them tangent to the tank so the threads engage and don't criss-cross. Well, I can think of a tool that could be used to tighten the bolts of an electrical connection, which would allow a better lever to manipulate elements of odd weight. faster than the ancient elements could achieve. This makes sense because, in general, lower watt density (heat flux) means more efficiency. Between this effect and the simple fact that there is no limescale build-up on the elements, I'm hoping to see noticeably lower power consumption. trick accounts. I would recommend them to a friend if they want to solve the same problems as me. For information: When changing cells, you should at least check your sacrificial anode rod in the tank and replace it if necessary. A good magnesium rod will extend the life of your aquarium and elements. Anode rods tend to be MORE removable, but you can double or triple tank life by replacing a worn rod.
