Review on Hays 97 1D24F Torque Converter Stall by Antonio Taveras

This converter is rated for up to 1000hp. This failed on my road app which is naturally aspirated and only has 600 miles of road use. When this converter failed, small pieces of aluminum got into my new FTI Stage 4 Turbo 400 transmission. Small pieces of aluminum were scattered throughout the transmission, requiring complete disassembly and cleaning, as well as replacing some parts at a cost of about $1,300. With the new converter (not Hays) I am now spending $2,000 more on my project due to the premature failure of that converter. The seller, JEGS, was a pleasure throughout the process. They referred me to Holley Customer Service who sent me a new transducer. Holly offered to do nothing but send me a new transducer which arrived today. It is absolutely unacceptable for a part to fail at 70% of rated power!
