I need to practice with this. I've been arguing between this and pre-mixed polymer "clay" to reinforce my computer charger and cables. The reason I chose this is because it doesn't pre-mix and therefore doesn't dry out. However, once it has been soaked in hot water and softened, you need to knead it a little to make it softer, then make it thin and wrap it around the string (I assume it will be in the second part after the no mixing instructions). . part!), maybe you cut off what you overestimated. My first try wasn't that clean and I was afraid the cable wouldn't fit the computer properly anymore, so I re-boiled, re-dipped and re-flattened and it came out pretty good. I think a third try would be even better, maybe thinner and flatter, less lumpy. Oh, and maybe I could make it less toothpaste colored. But I believe it will protect the cable (which is completely stripped of its plastic coating underneath that gorgeous blue sculpture thanks to the tape that somehow dissolved it). Yes, I recommend this material, although I'm not sure I recommend it more than premixed material as I haven't used it (yet) to be able to compare.
