Can't believe these or similar aren't standard on jeeps. I've owned two jeeps and neither of them had a hood latch. This eliminated the "Jeep hood flapping", the hood bouncing up and down the road while driving. (lid) Of course, they give you peace of mind that no one can just walk up to your jeep and open the hood. They look confusing when you unwrap them, but stop there. Think about it and you'll see how easy it is to install. Also keep in mind that they MAY be adjustable. So if you're wearing them and they're too tight or too loose, just adjust the suspenders and they'll fit like a glove. (I'm NOT mechanical so YOU can do it)
