This product comes with a bracket and mounting screws. I personally installed the filter and all copper plumbing. Here's a tip for those of you who have leaks and threads on the inlet and/or outlet above. Buy double density Teflon tape at your local hardware store. Oatey sells this product in grey. Turn the male thread clockwise several times. Then apply sealant such as Megaloc or T plus 2 and apply to the beer steps over the pre-wrapped tape. Always apply sealant to the male threads and allow them to flatten out during assembly. Never apply sealant to internal fittings or internal threads as this will almost certainly result in the sealant entering the plumbing. These threads are now NPT, meaning the threads get narrower and the fittings get tighter as the assembly is tightened. When assembling this type of connection, use a pipe wrench and be sure to firmly support the cap with the threads you are tightening. A pair of pliers, an adjustable wrench, or the right size wrench will slip off the fitting you are tightening since a lot of torque/force is required to seal the connection. It takes some intuition/experience to know how much force to apply given the size of the wrench being used. With NPT threads, e.g. B. the threads on the cap of this product, it is possible for the threaded boss area to be overtightened and break. When this happens, the installer will exceed the strength required to make a tight joint. This is due to the taper as previously mentioned in this type of construction.
