Review on UpHere N1055ARGB Cooler Addressable Aluminum by Daniel Jackson

IT'S BETTER TO TRIM THE BASE.

I used to use UPHERE fans, GPU stands, etc. So I thought I'd try this cooler in a budget gaming system. The RGB on top of the cooler housing is really nice and adds a bit of finesse. The same goes for the RGB fan. Allows you to add some RGB when MOBO does not support ARGB. I was ready to love this cooler. The mounting system is very good and 10 times better than budget spring loaded coolers. What I wasn't prepared for was a poor job leveling the base. Of course on most coolers other than the Noctura I plan on doing a little wet lap with a 1500 grit. The base was so bad here that I had to start with 220, 400, 800 and 1500 grit, it took me over 2 hours to get the base flat and smooth. Such a bad job by UPHERE. I bet UPHERE might not make their own fin stack, or even if they do, they need to pay a lot more attention to the base. With an uneven base paired with the processor, you'll have higher temperatures. PERIOD! Thermal paste is not designed to fill in ridges and valleys large enough to be seen without a magnifying glass. Unfortunately, due to the lack of quality control on this cooler, it will take a very long time before I try a cooler from UPHERE.
