Review on πŸ”Š Goldwood Sound GT-324: Powerful 120W 8ohm Titanium Dome Speaker Tweeter in Sleek Black Design by Nick Howard

Revainrating 2 out of 5

1 of 2 damaged. The sound wasn't that great. Get the GT-525, not these

Comes in a set of 2. One worked, and the other had a broken terminal in a small box, rendering it unusable. I tried it when one of my Cerwin Vega tweeters burned out. The frequency response is too wide for my taste. It was tinny and static. This might be good for you if you like a really wide frequency range. I do not need it. They handle decent power, but I'm using an external Crown amp that puts out 300 watts of pure power per channel, so I turned on the tweeter. They would probably fit in an amp, although their rating is much lower. I ended up sending them back and swapping them for a set like this. Goldwood Sound Inc. sound module, silk dome tweeter each 200 watts, 8 ohms. Replacement set with 2 tweeters (GT-525-2). And I will keep her. The GT-525 sounds much better to me and has a lower frequency response at higher power ratings. In my opinion they sound better than the factory tweeters of the Cerwin Vega SL-12 loudspeakers. The SL-12 tweeters were initially sluggish, but the GT-525 complemented the midrange and woofers perfectly. I didn't have to remodel the closet much. So don't take the GT-524. They can be damaged and don't sound good. Take the GT-525. You'll be pleasantly surprised by their great sound, especially at this price point.
