I work remotely in sales and of course that means I make a lot of phone calls and my company provided a Bluetooth mini in-ear headset which was fine. you can say that. After a couple of years, the battery died and somehow problems began when connecting to a special USB dongle. I wanted to look at a wired headset and this kit caught my eye. Sure, the cable is the first thing I doubt, but it's not the grippy/sticky rubber you find on regular headsets - WIN. The length is long enough to play and you can get up off the table - VICTORY. The headset itself is great, the comfortable soft part on top, the soft over-ear design is nice and comfortable. with my big ears it hurts a little after a few hours, but that's my problem, not the headset. The first thing I did was call a co-worker and he immediately noticed how great I sound - so a good quality mic is WIN WIN. Of course, the mic's front-reaching design means I occasionally dump coffee in it - it takes a little getting used to, but it's nice and nimble and, oddly enough, I really like it. The best part is that it comes with a USB adapter for the 8mm jack that the headset uses. It includes a volume control and separate mutes for your microphone and headset, so you can mute yourself or anyone else regardless of the platform you're using. So be careful - the slogan of this era is "I think you're a muted assistant" - so there's one extra thing to check if you're trying to talk online. The adapter is a brilliant little one, though Addendum. I bought a headset but it only had an 8mm jack and it didn't work with my laptop for some reason so now I have a way to use them if this set ever dies. Feels after good build quality to the touch, the adjustable head size feels solid so hopefully it won't loosen up and become flexible in the future but I would wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone from podcasters to musicians and any other poor guy like me, on sale!
