Gather glue, wait a day, throw in bin

Bought several sets for a kids birthday workshop. Turns out the entire catapult is assembled with glue! Not a single nail or screw. What skills does this toy teach children? How to use glue to glue wooden blocks? Create something different with this technique. Aside from knowing the value, once built you have to wait 24 hours for the glue to dry before you can play. And after that, the toy falls apart within minutes because the glue isn't holding it tight enough (surprise, surprise!). Bottom Line: This set is good for 2-3 year olds and won't last long.
